Forgotten Memories

I miss her, and then she slowly fell away.

A woman sitting at an old desk. There is a picture next to her and another behind her on the wall. A bunch of scattered paper.

I would forget a bit of nothing
when I was something,
to love, to wish,
to heal and to bleed
with someone besides me

A person gone straight past your ear,
you’re nothing when you were never meant to feel.
This beauty of a piece that’s alerting you once or twice,
I’m caught in between and
I can’t decide wrong or right

Held into place, I’m a mannequin,
fell to the earth, I’m a comet,
so you see, I fooled you once or twice

Kept in the darkness,
I am presented,
a diamond is what I am.
You silenced my voice
and sent me in
to another dimension,
that’s been caught in me overnight

Your forgotten memories,
and I fooled you once or twice

I kept you from me,
you’re approaching,
slashed at the wound,
you’re sobbing, too deep,
I am caught in between.
Wrong or right?

Your voice is too loud,
I find a way to shut it out.
We are presented,
wrong or right?
Is this real life, or
can I just fall away?

These forgotten memories
have told me all night
“please watch out,
this is the end of a fight.”
Let me be presented
as a makeshift machine,
this causes anger
a tissue left out here to bleed

I miss you,
you told a simple story.
You and I,
we used to walk and wallow
as the earth became bright
this is the end
now you shut me tight

You’re killing me slowly
You’re killing me slowly
You’re slowly killing me

Two girls in a picture.
