Shadow

It follows you everywhere and you can't stop it.

Speaking of my memory,
I have been where no one has been
as I wallowed, and followed
everyone who would chase the light away
and into my prism

My shadow
has been with me forever,
it takes me away

Nothing has ever been
we have never seen
what we believed,
this place has never been alive
which makes me think
of my shadow

My shadow
will follow for eternity
it takes me away

As I walk across this water
I have dropped and flopped
into the void, while my shadow changes
and manipulates me with strength
I am tangled, alive

Life has taken over me
it has hanged over me
this has changed
and can never age

My shadow
asks again, and again
it takes me floating away
